Golf Experience Elevated
Good day. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Monte Hansen and I recently accepted the title of Managing Director of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. While I am relatively new to the property, I have learned very quickly how passionate this region is for this resort. You have supported the resort and its amenities over the past 29 years and I would like to express my appreciation for your loyal patronage and for being so vital to our success and growth.
I am honored and proud to be associated with the excitement that surrounds Nemacolin, including a monumental change that will impact and greatly improve our golf operations. Therefore, I am pleased to announce that we are once again working with the legendary Pete Dye in the construction of another 18-hole golf course on our property.
As in most cases, improvement often brings about change and we have become quite adept at instituting positive change to the resort, the hospitality industry and the region. Last summer we announced a nine hole addition to Mystic Rock. After serious consultation with the architects and engineers involved in the project, we have determined that the new course will incorporate those holes as well as the real estate that currently includes 15 existing holes of the existing Links golf course, making it unavailable for play moving forward. This incredible new course will be completed in the late summer of 2017. It is expected to rival the highest rated courses in the country, setting the stage for Nemacolin to become known as the best golf travel destination.
Please know that closing the Links course was a difficult decision for our owners, our Executive Team and our golf associates. I realize that this is disappointing news and I sincerely hope that you will continue to enjoy our other resort amenities and consider a membership when we unveil the new Pete Dye masterpiece next year.
I can assure you that these changes will elevate the Nemacolin golf experience to heights that we had never imagined. We truly value your support and please understand that we want you to be a part of this process as we will be sharing periodic construction updates and images, breaking news with regard to future memberships and an invitation to a special event surrounding this exciting development. The owners and associates of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort are so very grateful that you have been an important part of our past and would be honored to have you play an even bigger role in our future.
