The remarkable Mystic Rock, a dream of our Founder, Joseph Hardy, and the vision of design master, Pete Dye, resulted in one of the country's finest golf courses.

High atop the Pennsylvania Allegheny Mountains, Mystic Rock spans acres of scenic highlands, offering players championship golf in a spectacular setting. A par-72 course layout, Mystic Rock has a rating of 77 and slope of 149 from the championship tees, one of the highest ratings in the country (as rated by the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association).

Located in a private setting within the grounds of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, the Maples Townhomes are ideal for families or groups of friends who want to make themselves at home in a secluded and wooded setting.

Designed by DRS Architects of Pittsburgh, the new facility also has a different look both inside and out featuring 200 feet of nearly continuous floor to ceiling curtain wall offering panoramic mountaintop views from the bar, dining room and outdoor terraces. The dining and bar area of Apex sit beneath a custom-designed heavy timber roof structure of natural Douglas fir while the building’s focal point is certain to be the dramatic natural stone hearth and the chimney towering a full two stories through the heart of the lodge.

The Wildlife Academy at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort was established in 2006, bringing together animals from all corners of the world. Our mission is dedicated to providing interactive entertainment and live animal programs with an emphasis on education and experience. It is also all animal, all the time!

Garshak Treehouse is a unique home that can be reserved as either one house or two separate accommodations. Each side can be sold separately, but for the most personal experience, it is recommended that guests reserve both sides. This Private Home is located directly across from Lake Taylor.

Mulligan's provides a quick stop on Mystic Rock golf course for those that need a break from battling the Rock. Located in the turn between the 9th and 10th holes, Mulligan's is a half-way house for golfers on the go. Sit down dining not permitted. Carry-out orders are available. Open April through October, weather permitting.

Nemacolin's beautiful 18-hole miniature golf course is a staple among our Adventure Center amenities. Adjacent to CaddyShack restaurant, our Fallingbrook Mini Golf Course is beautifully landscaped with stone, shrubbery and natural flowers. You will often hear children shrill in delight as they run through the manmade cave tunnels. The focal point is our dramatic waterfall, which is situated in the middle of the course. Located at the end of Nemacolin's airstrip, the Pride and Joy Vintage Airplane Hangar is open for the public and includes a private collection of vintage planes, including a 1931 Pitcarin PA-8. This rare and classic plane, fully restored and airworthy was once in the collection of the late movie star and Hollywood icon Steve McQueen.

The Woodlands Auto Toy Store opened in September 2000 and features a unique aspect of the Hardy Family Art Collection by displaying a wide variety of rare and antique automobiles. After perusing these fine motor coaches, check out the Pitcairn PA-8 and de Haviland Moth Minor in the Pride and Joy Airplane Hanger, along with a vintage U.S. Mail Truck and other unique pieces.

Down the road, Nemacolin's Wildlife Adventure offers a nursery of smaller exotic and domestic animals such as a kinkajou, fennec foxes, a two toed sloth, rabbits and reptiles, to name a few of the over 100 species collection.

This 8,400' Olympic caliber facility features a variety of training equipment that would be used in the development of future gymnast's careers. Guests of all ages may experience the facility at any skill level; however, instructors are not provided. Gymnastic features include: foam pit, trampoline, two balance beams, uneven bars, exercise spring floor, parallel bars, adjustable training high bar, tumble track, vaulting table, pommel horse, rings, numerous safety landing mats and training aids, barrels and wedges.

The Nemacolin Golf Academy offers a unique blend of golf instruction, club fitting and technology, designed exclusively to help your game. Golf is about consistency and the TrackMan® Golf Radar Solution provides our professional instructors with a state-of-the-art diagnostic tool that will measure everything in your swing as well as everything about the flight of your golf ball. From club and ball speed, distance, launch angles, spin rate, to swing plane, angle of attack, swing path and club face delivery, there is no aspect of your game or equipment we will not address, and all you have to do is hit golf balls and leave the rest to us!
