Craft Beer Brewfest Is New Addition

Farmington, PA (September 21, 2010) –The third annual Fall Festival at Nemacolin Woodlands is slated for October 9, 2010. This year’s event begins at 11:00 a.m. and will include a Craft Beer Brewfest as well as unique activities and offerings for guests of all ages.  

“The Fall Festival showcases the beauty of this season in the Laurel Highlands and provides an opportunity for families to spend the day together and enjoy a variety of activities,” said Chris Plummer, General Manager of the luxury resort southeast of Pittsburgh.  “This event has grown each year and we continue to explore different options when planning the festival to make certain that we offer something for every member of the family.”

Fall Festival 2010 will feature a Craft Beer Brewfest with more than 30 beers supplied by vendors from throughout the region.  An additional $5.00 fee for admission to this venue provides unlimited tasting for our guests over 21. Our new Little Tykes ropes course and a Wild Animal Show have been added to this year’s festivities. Skill contests and prizes highlight the Fall Finale Golf Scramble, a nine hole event on the Links Golf Course and Disc Golf is offered as well.
 
The Fall Festival will again feature live entertainment from local favorites Jason Kendall and the Girlz in Black Hats.  The day’s festivities will conclude with a concert by the popular band, More Bad News.  Radio partner FROGGY FM will broadcast live from the resort’s Adventure Center on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Fans can come out and meet their favorite on-air personalities and register to win prizes. 

A Craft Fair features local artisans exhibiting a wide variety of handcrafted items including jewelry, candles, kettle corn, chocolate confections and woodcrafts.   Nemacolin’s popular carnival games as well as bounce houses and more will be offered for children along with arts and crafts and a Pumpkin Patch.  The $15.00 event admission fee also includes the climbing wall, ropes courses, mini-golf, the classic zip line and pony rides. Children ages 4 through 9 are admitted for $7.00 and there is no charge for children under 4.
