Nemacolin Woodlands, Brighton and Estée Lauder Join Forces

Farmington, PA (August 17, 2010) – “Pretty In Pink”, a special luncheon and fashion show will be held on Sunday, September 26th at Nemacolin Woodlands.  The afternoon’s festivities will benefit Breast Cancer research and are being held in conjunction with the official launch of “The Nothing is Impossible” necklace.  “This unique Brighton necklace was designed exclusively for Nemacolin Woodlands” explains Elaine McKulka, the resort’s Retail Director.  “As the project neared completion, Jerry Kohl, the owner of Brighton approached the resort and offered to donate the entire production costs of the pendant to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® if Nemacolin Woodlands would consider a one time payment to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® rather than the scheduled installments to his company,” said McKulka.  Maggie Hardy Magerko, resort owner happily agreed with the terms of the new agreement and the necklace took on a special new meaning.  The heart shaped pendant features the resort’s signature fat bird and Swarovski crystals.

To celebrate the completion of the necklace and to honor survivors, Nemacolin Woodlands, Brighton and Estée Lauder have partnered to present this special afternoon.  All of the models, cancer survivors, will be treated to a makeover from Estée Lauder and outfitted with fashion apparel from the resort’s retail shops.  The festivities will also feature a silent auction and cocktail party.  All silent auction monies as well as a portion of the event proceeds and “Nothing Is Impossible” necklace sales for that day will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.  The Foundation’s mission is to achieve prevention and a cure for Breast Cancer with over ninety percent of all monies donated going directly to research and awareness initiatives.

The event begins at 1:00 p.m. and will be held in Horizon Point, adjacent to Falling Rock. Tickets for “Pretty in Pink” are available at the resort for a donation of $30.00 and can be purchased by calling Elaine McKulka at 724-329-6014. For more information, please visit nemacolin.com.
