RocktoberFest Returns to Nemacolin Woodlands Resort
Rockin’ Best BrewFest Highlights Annual Event
Farmington, PA (October 1, 2013) – Nemacolin Woodlands Resort will welcome beer enthusiasts at their annual RocktoberFest event, scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2013, on the resort’s Airstrip. This community event will feature live rock & roll musical entertainment, adventure activities for the entire family and a competitive BrewFest showcasing over 30 Breweries and Wineries.
“Last year we introduced a new event concept to the community with our inaugural RocktoberFest event. The idea was born out of the desire to reinvent our past Fall Festival event, which was very traditional.” said Chris Plummer, General Manager of the luxury resort southeast of Pittsburgh. “Given the large number of breweries that surround our region and the growing culture of craft beer supporters, it was no surprise that our 2012 event was so successful. We immediately began planning this year’s event”
Music begins at 12:00 p.m. with Pittsburgh’s Nick Marzock and continues throughout the day with rock band, The Lava Game taking the stage at 3:00 p.m. All-Inclusive Adventure Passes will be offered at a special rate of $25.00 per adult and $10.00 per child (12 & under) on Saturday only. These passes are valid for a number of resort activities including the Fat Bird Flyer Zip Line, Jeep Ride Alongs, ropes course, miniature golf and much more. A bounce house, face painting, corn hole as well as chair massages compliments of the Woodlands Spa, will be available.
The highlight of the event, the Rockin’ Best BrewFest, will begin at 1:00 p.m. and is offered to guests over 21. This year’s BrewFest has doubled in size and features nearly 70 beer varieties including ales, stouts, lagers, pilsners and specialty beers for connoisseurs to taste. Local wineries and a whiskey tasting will also be included in the $20.00 per person fee, which includes a commemorative sampling glass, unlimited tastings (while supplies last) and a competitive element entitling guests to vote for their top five favorite brews.
