The First Leg Of The Triple Crown Of Beer Fests
Farmington, PA (March 2, 2011) –The first ever Spring BrewFest is slated for March 18 – March 20, 2011 at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. This new event is the first installment in their “Year of Beer” festivities and is open to resort guests as well as the public.
“These festivals are very popular and appeal to people from many regions and various walks of life,” said Brent Wertz, Executive Chef and Vice President of Food and Beverage at the luxury resort southeast of Pittsburgh. “When we added a beer tasting element to our Fall Festival last year, we saw a tremendous number of visitors take part and realized just how many of our guests had a passion for the beverage. We decided that it was time to take beer offerings to the next level and have officially designated 2011 as the “Year of Beer” at Nemacolin Woodlands.”
In 2011, three unique Beer Fests will each feature beer tastings, themed dining with beer pairings and live entertainment as well as resort activities. The series kicks off with the Spring BrewFest highlighted by the Samuel Adams Beer Blast Shoot Off. Collectable mugs have been created for each Beer Fest and these limited edition pieces will be distributed to the first 500 guests attending each event.
The Spring BrewFest begins Friday evening with a four course Beer Dinner hosted by Chef Wertz and continues Saturday with the Beer Blast Shoot Off, Beer Garden tastings and a performance by the popular band, Fatt Mans Face. A BeerBQ will round out Saturday’s agenda. The event concludes with Nemacolin Woodlands’s celebrated Sunday brunch featuring non-traditional menu items and beer pairings. Each BrewFest element is available a la carte and a limited number of BYOB–Build Your Own BrewFest Packages are offered for overnight guests.
